Does all the suffering in the world mean there isn't a God?

The logic that states "because evil exists there can't be a God" can equally be said to state that "because there is good in the world there must be a God"!

Perhaps we should stop and look at who causes all the suffering in the world? So often God gets the blame for suffering when it has been caused by humans!

Famine: Did you know that there is more than enough food in the world to feed everyone properly but those of us with the food are too greedy to share it?

Murder: It is humans that do the killing not God.

Floods: These normally occur as a result of the ways that humans have misused and abused the earth (deforestation, global warming...)

Earthquakes: Most earthquakes themselves do not kill people but cheaply built buildings and bridges collapsing do!

Cancer: A lot of people think that this is caused by the polution of our atmosphere, the pollution of our food chain and by our choice of life style.

When we stop and think about it, it is mankind that has caused the suffering in the world not God.

Some people say that people cause the suffering but if a God exists he should stop people doing the bad things. BUT If God was to remove from the earth everybody who did anything wrong, how many people do you think would be left on the earth? None!

If God was to get rid of suffering he would have to get rid of us - because it is us who cause it!

The world that God made in the beginning had no suffering in it but the first two humans disobeyed God. As a direct result of their actions bad and suffering entered the world. One day God is going to make a new Heaven and a new Earth where there will be no suffering any more, just like it used to be at the beginning - But only those who truly believe in Jesus will be taken there. How wonderful that place will be!
